Does there seem to be any leaning to use the 200 guys? Williams didn't look so bad on the turn. Hard to say about Edwards because he drew Bolt.

Now that the US relay pools have been announced we can lay some things to rest:
4x100m Relay Pool: Carmelita Jeter (Inglewood, Calif.); Muna Lee (College Station, Texas); Lauryn Williams (Miami, Fla.); Alexandria Anderson (Austin, Texas); Jessica Young (Fort Worth, Texas); Shalonda Solomon (Inglewood, Calif.); Marshevet Hooker (Pflugerville, Texas); Charonda Williams (Richmond, Calif.); Allyson Felix (Los Angeles)
Your final 6: Jeter, Lee, Williams, Anderson, Hooker, Felix
4x100m Relay pool: Tyson Gay (Lexington, Ky.); Michael Rodgers (Round Rock, Texas); Darvis Patton (Grand Prairie, Texas); Monzavous "Rae" Edwards (Kansas City, Kan.); Travis Padgett (Marietta, Ga.); Shawn Crawford (Los Angeles); Terrence Trammell (Atlanta, Ga.); Wallace Spearmon (College Station, Texas)
Your final 6: Gay, Rodgers, Patton, Crawford, Spearmon, Edwards/Padgett

Looks like we're getting close to:
Crawford - Spearmon - Gay - Patton
Of course there will be those that will want to use Rodgers in the final ..
Williams - Felix - Lee - Jeter
Could be on the track as well ..

As far as I know she is healthy .. As far as I know everyone in both pools are healthy .. Gay of course having the groin issue ..
We could sweep all four relays .. Not an easy task mind you, but could be done .. The women's 4x1 and the men's 4x4 seem the most solid right now ..
The men's 4x1 is going to depend on whether it gets put together right .. We will have to get some sort of lead on the first two legs .. If Bolt and Gay are goth third they cancel each other out .. That leaves a lead coming into anchor and what I will assume will be Powell .. If that is the case Doc out anchors Powell ..
Women's 4x4 will depend on who gets paired with Sanya and Allyson .. If we use Demus andn Tosta I feel good .. Any other two and I get nervous ..

The reason I asked on Muna is she didn't run in London and the rumored reason was injury. Even looking at the women's pool they have a couple extra what would be curve runners in my mind in the pool.
I'm ok with the women's 4x4 as long as Demus is on there with Sanya and Allyson. I think we could run anyone else on first leg and would eventually reel them all in if we went Allyson-Demus-Sanya 2-4.

I agree, we could sub say Anderson or Hooker for Lee and be just fine ..
My only worry about the women's 4x4 is that I know the Russians will lead off well ... And Jamaica should too .. So don't want to fall behind early .. I trust that Allyson and Sanya can drop 48's .. But I have a feeling we'll see at least one Russian do the same .. We're due for this event to go well under 3:20 ..

Well, that's a group of veterans that should be able to get comfortable with each other pretty quickly .. Spearmon and Gay have passed together .. So have Patton and Gay .. We need experience out there after last year .. though the bobble happened between Patton and Gay .. But just proves that your squad has to have people in the right positions ..

Crawford has pride and will fight down the anchor stretch. Nor will he fade at the end (my worry w/Doc on anchor). He is my choice for anchor.
What do you all think of Spearmon on backstretch? He'll close hard but even with on the fly it takes him a minute to get going IMHO. How's Wallace rolling this season?

Wallace has been just fine .. Has run very well of late .. Only three men he might not close down on and none are running against him unless Jamaica chooses to put Usain on the backstretch - something they did in '07 ..
I still see it as Crawford (best on the turn) .. Wallace (super closer) .. Tyson (best turn out there) .. Doc (solid vet, beat Powell in last race) ..
Doc's not going to fade at the end, its the best part of his race .. And my philosophy is always to win it before the anchor ..

This race is going to the wire, it will be set up but who we run anchor is huge. Doc - not confident in his footspeed and aggressiveness here, love him on second and third though. Tyson - Very confident in his ability to do this, but concerned about his comfort, want and stick handling with his left hand Crawford - I am not sold on his speed as of late. He ran great at nationals in the 200 but what is he bringing to Berlin? Rodgers - the darkhorse candidate. There is no reason to doubt this man this season. He has been consistent. Even when people questioned his ability after nationals he dropped 10.02. I like him better for lead off however. But do not be shocked to see him on anchor.
I have a gut feeling we are going to see Terrence on the lead off in Berlin and we will not see Wallace on the back stretch.

Doc is really the only one to anchor .. And there is NO reason to run Trammell on the relay .. He's not even done what he should in his own event let alone a relay leg ..
Running Tyson on anchor is suicide .. If we do, the race be over as Ben used to say .. You don't win relays from behind and if we anchor Tyson we will be behind .. Crawford ALWAYS does one thing well and always had - blaze a turn .. Doesn't matter what he does in the 100, he always runs a fairly decent to awesome deuce - because he always burns the turn .. He may fade in the stretch in the deuce, but he will always be a leader on the turn .. To NOT utilize this is foolish !! To run anyone else on leadoff is to tempt a loss ..
Rodgers has done nothing to tell me that he is relay worthy or ready .. He's missed all the relay work at camp .. Yes he's run some fast times, but this is not about the 100, it's about the relay .. And the relay is about carrying speed through the zone .. And Rodgers is a starter that fades late race - not a relay strategy ..
Leaving Wallace out of the conversation is also suicide ... He's the best closer we have outside of Tyson and Tyson MUST run 3rd if we are to be successful - period ..
The squad is clear .. The strengths and weaknesses of the individuals in the pool are clear .. To ignore the obvious is ludicrous ...
Jamaica will run Bolt and Powell third and fourth ... Our lead off and backstretch MUST be on point .. Running Terrence to Doc won't get it done ... And anchoring Rodgers against Powell without sufficient gap is suicide ... Anything other than Craw/Wally/Tyson/Doc gets the crap kicked out of it ...

I do need to correct you in one area:
The relay work at camp JUST started yesterday. So as long as Rodgers is there (which I believe he is) he has missed no more than Doc, Tyson, Muna, etc.
